General warranties

Consumers are entitled to warranty for defects in purchased goods in accordance with the legal regulations of §§ 437 et seq. BGB. In particular, the customer may request performance (re-delivery or defect remediation). However, finkid GmbH is entitled to refer the customer to re-delivery if defect remediation would involve disproportionate effort. Warranty claims expire two years after delivery of the goods. The buyer should assert their warranty claims by providing the order number, their name and address, along with a brief statement of the reasons. At the request of finkid GmbH, the customer shall send the defective goods for inspection at the cost and risk of finkid GmbH to the following address: finkid GmbH, Berliner Str. 46, 10713 Berlin.
Warranty terms for finkid BUDDY school backpacks

The finkid GmbH, Berliner Str. 46, 10713 Berlin grants you an extended manufacturer warranty of 5 years from the date of purchase for your finkid BUDDY school backpack, subject to the following terms.

  • finkid guarantees you that your finkid BUDDY school backpack is free from material and manufacturing defects for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase. This applies to the scope of validity in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Within the warranty period, we will at our own discretion free of charge remedy defects on your finkid BUDDY school backpack that arise due to material or manufacturing causes through repair, replacement with an equivalent product, or shipment of a replacement part. Replaced products become the property of finkid.
  • Excluded from the warranty are damage, normal wear and tear, improper use, exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, accidents, as well as alterations or repairs carried out by you or third parties. Also excluded from the warranty is wear and tear on the reflective surfaces and accessories such as the pencil case, snack bag, and sports bag.
  • If you have a complaint, please contact the respective retailer directly along with your purchase receipt and a description of the defect, preferably with a photo. The retailer will review the quality notice and inform you whether returning the school backpack is required for further inspection and/or repair.
  • The costs incurred in connection with asserting warranty claims and the shipping risk will be borne by you.
  • The provision of warranty services will not extend or renew the warranty period.
  • Of course, in addition to this warranty, you have your statutory rights regarding defects. Exercising these rights is free of charge and is not restricted by this warranty.
