The BUDDY EKO is made from leftover materials from other productions – this saves resources and gives unused materials a second life. This creates an innovative patchwork look and the first upcycling school backpack: colorful, cheerful, and unique, just like our finkid collections.
Face It – Give Your BUDDY a Face
Every BUDDY EKO comes with reflective fabric stickers that you can use again and again to customize your device. Our functional stickers peel away completely without leaving any residue. Additional fully reflective stickers with different colorways are also available, and these stickers can be purchased separately and work with all BUDDY models.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1) Shoulder straps: Center the back pad over your shoulder blades, keep the straps close to your body, do not cinch tightly 2) Hook-and-loop fasteners: Loosen them, adjust the straps to your back length, reattach them, then thread them through two loops 3) Chest strap: Fasten it approximately 5 cm below shoulder height, across your chest 4) Hip belt: Rest the weight on your hips, with the front portion fitting lightly against your body 5) Test mobility: Walk, jog lightly, hop – the backpack should stay in position 6) Safety check: Secure the connecting straps tightly, but not constricting; the straps should remain stable during movement - Note: Readjust if you grow or your back length changes.
Checklist for Proper Sizing Adjustment
- The rucksack sits flush against your back
- The top edge is roughly at shoulder height, with the bottom end above the buttocks
- Weight is evenly split 50/50 between the hips and back
- XS–XL fits body heights from approximately 118 cm to 140 cm
