The BUDDY EKO is made from leftover materials from other productions – this saves resources and gives unused materials a second life. This creates an innovative patchwork look and the first upcycling school backpack: colorful, cheerful, and unique like our finkid collections.

Every BUDDY EKO comes with reflective fabric stickers for you to customize again and again. Our functional stickers are removable without leaving any residue. Fully reflective stickers in different color options are also available. The stickers can also be purchased separately and work with all BUDDY models.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1) Shoulder straps: Back padding centered over shoulder blades, straps close to the body, do not over-tighten 2) Velcro fasteners: undo, adjust straps to back length, close again, pull through two loops 3) Chest strap: approx. 5 cm below shoulder height, fasten horizontally across the chest 4) Hip belt: distribute weight on hips, front side fits slightly snug 5) Test mobility: walk, jog gently, jump – the backpack stays in position 6) Safety check: Connecting straps are tight but not constricting; straps remain stable during movements - Note: Readjust as needed when growing or if back length changes.
Checklist for Proper Size Fit
- Backpack lies flat against the back
- Top edge approx. shoulder height, bottom end above the buttocks
- Weight distributed approx. 50/50 between hips and back
- XS–XL suitable for body height approx. 118 cm to 140 cm

The BUDDY EKO comes in 2 different versions. BUDDY EKO SPORT is available as a 4-piece set including a pencil case, a small utility pouch, and a sports bag. BUDDY EKO SMART is sold without any additional accessories. This way you can decide for yourself what you’d like to start the school day with.
