Our Materials: Functional & Sustainable
We mainly use recycled and eco-friendly materials – from polyester and organic cotton to Tencel and bamboo viscose. Our leather comes from ecologically certified tanneries. We select all fabrics based on function, appearance, and tactile feel – they are easy to care for, durable, PFC-free, and equipped with Bionic Finish Eco. More than half of our collection already consists of alternative raw materials – the trend is rising.
Designed in Berlin – inspired by real life
Our finkid models are created in our own design studio in Berlin – with an eye toward everyday life and our children’s play, both indoors and outdoors. The designs are timeless, sturdy, and well thought-out – using durable materials, replaceable wear parts, and cross-season Zip-in compatibility. Need replacements? Reliable Partnerships & Fair Production
We work closely with independent producers in Asia and Europe – based on long-standing partnerships and personal exchange. In addition to high quality, we prioritize short transport routes and direct collaboration. Our Asian production facilities are BSCI-audited and meet social standards along the supply chain. All suppliers commit to a Code of Conduct in accordance with the requirements of the International Labour Organization – for fair working hours, minimum wages, safe workplaces, and the prohibition of child labor.

Our commitment: long-lasting products designed with careful consideration and rigorous quality checks. Our team members oversee on-site production to audit working conditions and industry standards. All suppliers meet the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 – tested for harmful and prohibited substances. This allows us to ensure quality, fairness, and sustainability – while also strengthening our partnerships.

Washing less, spot cleaning, and careful handling will extend the product's lifecycle – especially for performance fabrics.
