The consumer is entitled to a warranty for defects in the purchased goods in accordance with the statutory provisions of Sections 437 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB). In particular, the customer may demand subsequent performance (new delivery or rectification of defects). However, finkid GmbH is entitled to refer the customer to a new delivery if rectification of the defect would involve disproportionate effort. Warranty claims expire two years after delivery of the goods. The buyer should assert their warranty claims, stating the order number, their name and address, and briefly stating the reasons. At finkid GmbH's request, the customer shall send the defective goods for inspection at finkid GmbH's expense and risk to the following address: finkid GmbH, Berliner Str. 46, 10713 Berlin.

finkid GmbH, Berliner Str. 46, 10713 Berlin, grants you an extended manufacturer's warranty of 5 years from the date of purchase for your finkid BUDDY school bag in accordance with the following conditions.

  • finkid guarantees that your finkid BUDDY school bag is free from material and manufacturing defects for a period of five years from the date of purchase. This applies to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Within the warranty period, we will remedy any material or manufacturing-related defects in your finkid BUDDY school bag free of charge, at our discretion, by repairing, replacing with an equivalent product, or sending a replacement part. Replaced products become the property of finkid.
  • The warranty does not cover damage, normal wear and tear, improper use, exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, accidents, or any tampering or repairs caused by you or third parties. Also excluded from the warranty are wear and tear on the reflective surfaces and accessories such as pencil cases, pencil cases, and gym bags.
  • If you have a complaint, please contact the respective retailer directly with your receipt and a description of the defect, including a photo if possible. The retailer will review the quality notice and inform you whether the school bag needs to be sent in for further inspection and/or repair.
  • You shall bear the costs and shipping risk associated with asserting warranty claims.
  • The provision of warranty services does not extend or renew the warranty period.
  • Of course, in addition to this warranty, you are entitled to your statutory rights in the event of defects. Exercising these rights is free of charge and is not restricted by this warranty.
